This is one of the first areas one notices when driving into the courtyard. The homeowners wanted to improve their view. They envisioned a beautiful garden for quiet sitting and reflection, a “rock garden with a Japanese feel.” The design challenge was to improve the vista and to create an accessible garden space on the hillside.
